Welcome. Corter Leather is a super-small, one man operation. Every product is 100% hand made by maker Eric Heins in a small apartment studio in Boston, Massachusetts. Each piece is designed in house, cut by memory, hand punched, and hand sewn. Templates are never made, so no two pieces perfectly alike.

Custom Orders Due to overwhelming demand of stock items, Corter Leather is not able to take custom orders as of 5.20.2011.

Day 42

By request, Day 42 is a set of 6 premium leather drink coasters. These coasters are 4" x 4", and made from the thick parts of the same leather as the Utility Collection wallets. The leather is 8oz, vintage (about 20 years old, found in a barn) and the coasters feature hand rounded and waxed edges. The stack is over 1 1/2" when piled up, and the leather is completely untreated. It'll tan and oil beautifully, and look great on a parlor table or bar. The Corter Logo is stamped into the corner of each (not visible in the picture).

Available for $42 now in the store.

Day 41

Day 41 is something I'm working on bringing to the Corter lineup, a vintage fish hook style key loop. Includes a nice hand cut natural leather keychain that will age nicely.

Available for $41 in the shop now.

Day 40: Introducing the Brewster Collection, Pt. 4

I'm excited to present for day 40 the Ring Wallet. This piece was inspired by a couple pairs of ring boots that were handmade and sold on the streets of Provincetown, MA, in the 70's. Again, it's a pouch style wallet, and the entire body is cut out of one piece of leather. This time there's an added fold which creates both a natural divider for cards and bills, and a trench for the ring to sit in so it won't wear through the back pocket of your favorite jeans. The wallet is made out of super nice 5oz leather, features hand set copper rivets, and holds everything you could ever need without becoming bulky. I've been carrying one for 4-5 months now (see after the jump for photos), and keep about 12 cards, 5-6 bills, a couple spare keys, a bunch of coins, and even my usb stick and a small pocket knife in it sometimes, and it rarely becomes more than 1/2" thick even when fully stocked. As per tradition, 2 are available today in natural, and a black version will accompany this color at the release of the full Brewster Collection in a few days!

Day 38

Day 38 is another hand bound journal, using a nautical twine closure. The insert is hand made with 100% cotton paper, and again is sized so that replacements can be made easily by folding computer sized paper twice, cutting, and sewing into the journal with included waxed thread. Available in the store for $38 now!
