Corter Leather - Journal

Welcome. Corter Leather is a super-small, one man operation. Every product is 100% hand made by maker Eric Heins in a small apartment studio in Boston, Massachusetts. Each piece is designed in house, cut by memory, hand punched, and hand sewn. Templates are never made, so no two pieces perfectly alike.

Custom Orders Due to overwhelming demand of stock items, Corter Leather is not able to take custom orders as of 5.20.2011.

Grabbed a picture of my mom's phone case while home for Thanksgiving. It's about a year and a half old, made out of the section of the hide that's branded with the square footage. This started off completely natural, and has never been oiled or laid out in the sun to tan- the oils from your hands will do the trick sometimes!

Indigo Dyed Leather

I've been planning this for a while now and finally got to make it happen. Pure indigo dyed veg tan, dyed in house (well...back yard). I'll have a whole indigo collection in the next couple weeks, some cool new color combinations and hand dyed tans to match the beautiful tones and patterns of the indigo.
