Welcome. Corter Leather is a super-small, one man operation. Every product is 100% hand made by maker Eric Heins in a small apartment studio in Boston, Massachusetts. Each piece is designed in house, cut by memory, hand punched, and hand sewn. Templates are never made, so no two pieces perfectly alike.

Custom Orders Due to overwhelming demand of stock items, Corter Leather is not able to take custom orders as of 5.20.2011.

For available stock, please visit the shop.

Autumnal Inspiration

I tend to roll with the punches fairly well. Graduating college, moving, and starting a new~ish life have proved interesting and extremely inspiring. However, with all of this wonderful change, it's easy to forget that life is, well, life...and there's always a backside to it. The past month has proved extremely challenging, reminding me of the power that exits in tragedy. Many small and large turns, including the sickness and death of family members and loved ones (and friends, and friends of loved ones) have made this fall a very trying period. Like a storm with no eye, there has been little to no break between these things.

So, what I'd like to convey with this update is this: while the website has yet to be finished, and emails may go 3-4 days without responses, Corter Leather is here to stay. I can't help but thank all of my loyal customers and readers who wait patiently for their orders, who stick tight when the post office sends their item to Singapore by way of Florida, and especially those who send the heartfelt emails of support and encouragement. God willing, this Tuesday will mark the first full week since September 18th that I don't receive some sort of bad news.

I wish all of you a lovely autumnal season filled with warmth, inspiration, wonderful knits and lots of layers. I'm working on the site as we speak, hoping for a launch by the end of the month, and now, hopefully, getting back on track and running as we usually do. Here's to lots of updates in the future.
