Welcome. Corter Leather is a super-small, one man operation. Every product is 100% hand made by maker Eric Heins in a small apartment studio in Boston, Massachusetts. Each piece is designed in house, cut by memory, hand punched, and hand sewn. Templates are never made, so no two pieces perfectly alike.

Custom Orders Due to overwhelming demand of stock items, Corter Leather is not able to take custom orders as of 5.20.2011.

For available stock, please visit the shop.

The 100 Day Project

I'm in the middle of a super awesome, great big personal project- simplifying my life. I really can't simplify my job: I work for myself, doing something I love, and have many wonderful customers. I have only the tools I need, and can bring them anywhere fairly simply.

I have custom orders, a line I need to finish producing, and Summer Markets to prepare for. What am I doing? Another project. I may be going a bit crazy, but I think it'll be fun.

The Corter Leather 100 Day project is a way for me to show my appreciation for all of the amazing people around the world that support my work, and allow some super awesome deals on some really cool things that I make. Every day, for the next 100 days, I will post 1 unique handmade leather good for sale in my blog/on the store. The catch? The first piece will cost $1. The price of every piece after that will go up only $1, meaning that ultimately the 100th piece will be only $100 on the 100th day.

On the 100th day, I will also be doing a giveaway to one random Twitter follower. The prize will be a Premium Belt, and a wallet of your choice from the Brewster Collection, which will be previewing soon and available in late April. All you have to do is follow Corter Leather on Twitter here:

and tweet this:

Simplification

Spring is finally showing itself. I've spent the last couple days snowboarding in a sweater, sunglasses, and with no hat. Everyone on the mountain was smiling, and the yearly run off pools made for some really fun skimming after long, mushy runs. In my down time, I've been doing some yearly pre-organizing~ I tend to sell half of what I own every year, to keep my belongings to a minimum. So I've been making some lists, etc.

This year is a little different. I've pretty much gotten rid of all of the "easy" stuff to get rid of. It's now time to focus on the harder stuff. The things I own, and enjoy, but don't use. I want my life to feel like sitting by an open window on a clear and breezy day, and I want to get rid of some of the clutter, so I've decided now is the time to simplify my list of belongings. I hope to learn some things along the way (this is a bit of a larger change than I make it out to be, though I don't want to make too much out of it yet) that I'll share with you all! I'll keep you updated, when I get home I'll be starting with phase 1: wardrobe.
